Imagine walking into a room for a class and your instructor is presenting to you with a piece of poster paper taped to a wall and a sharpie drawn image. Well, many years ago, that is how Modern Ice began their Hamer 125 in person training courses. In a small sectioned off part of the warehouse technicians gathered, eager to gain knowledge and hands-on experience with rebuilding Hamer 125 machines.

As the classes continued to develop and grow in size, the vision to create a space for learning and hands-on experience has adapted into its very own brand, Modern Ice University (MIU), a platform for not only education and training, but also research, development, and innovation in the ice industry.

MIU now currently offers a meeting space you can utilize, webinars, and training sessions from our very own expert team members, Freeze Force.

We support our customers with a great technical service team, Freeze Force, that’s available to take care of maintenance, repair, installations, start-ups, technical questions, and now through MIU, education tools and opportunities. Along with the support from our strategic partners like nVenia/Hamer, Leer, Mattheisen, and Vogt we are given the resources to best support our customers’ needs.
