How It Works
The Matthiesen Snow/Dewatering Reel is designed to remove excess snow and water from ice before it moves to the next stage of the production or packaging process. As ice enters the reel, the rotating system separates loose snow and moisture from the finished ice, helping deliver a cleaner, more consistent product for packaging.
The reel can be integrated into an ice handling or packaging line based on the plant’s production requirements. Ice enters through the feed system and moves through the rotating reel, while separated snow and water are removed from the product stream. The cleaned ice then exits through a discharge chute and continues to the next stage of the operation.
