Matthiesen Live Bottom Bins
Available in 10-, 15-, 20-, 30-, and 40-ton capacities, the bin is used for temporary storage of ice while awaiting utilization. When activated, the floor and front wall rake keep ice moving to a bin mounted on a conveyor transporting the product to the next process station.

How It Works
Matthiesen Live Bottom Bins provide temporary bulk ice storage while maintaining a controlled flow of ice to the next stage of your operation. Ice enters the bin after production and remains stored until it is ready to be transferred for packaging, conveying, or another process.
When the system is activated, the live bottom floor and front-wall rake work together to move ice through the bin. As the rake advances, it pushes ice toward the discharge area, where the product is transferred into a bin mounted on a conveyor. The conveyor then transports the ice to the next process station, creating a continuous and controlled method for moving bulk ice through the plant.
