How It Works
The Matthiesen VLS Manual Bagger uses an integrated hopper and screw conveyor to move ice into an upper hopper, where it is prepared for filling. From there, the ice enters a volumetric filling drum that measures a consistent amount of product before dispensing it into the bag.
The VLS uses an automatic bag opener to position and open wicketed bags beneath the filling chute. Once the bag is in place, the volumetric drum dispenses the measured ice into the bag. Operators can control the bagging process using the manual stop and restart foot pedal, while adjustable operating speeds allow the machine to fill approximately 20 to 47 bags per minute, depending on the application and configuration.
